Red Dead Redemption Relaunches With 60 FPS Support

A major update for Red Dead Redemption landed on December 2, bringing full native versions to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Until now, the game had only been playable on these platforms via backward compatibility.

The update adds a stable 60 FPS mode, faster loading times, and improved visual quality. On Nintendo Switch 2, the game runs at a dynamic 1440p, while the PS5 version reaches a dynamic 2160p.

A mobile release is set to follow on December 4. The game will be available on the App Store and Google Play, with Netflix subscribers able to access it at no extra cost.

In late October, Red Dead Redemption 2 celebrated its seventh anniversary. According to insiders, Rockstar is preparing an update for current-gen consoles in the future.
