British politicians are increasing pressure on Rockstar Games following the controversy surrounding the dismissal of more than 30 employees who worked on GTA 6. The studio described the incident as “a gross breach of discipline,” while the workers’ union called it “the most brutal act of suppressing” attempts to organize.

According to STV

News, Scottish Green Party member and Edinburgh councillor Dan Heap has submitted an official motion to bring the issue before the Fair Work Committee. The committee will convene next week to review a letter to Rockstar Games “expressing concern” and urging the company to reinstate the dismissed employees.

The city council also plans to offer financial support to the former workers and help them navigate employment law matters.

Earlier, protests took place in Edinburgh — former Rockstar staff, along with union representatives and industry members, marched from the Rockstar North office to the Scottish Parliament. Similar demonstrations were held near the offices of publisher Take-Two Interactive in London and Paris.

Meanwhile, Scottish National Party MP for Dundee Central Chris Law has [url=https://edm.parliament.uk/early-day-motion/64743/staff-at-rockstar-games]submitted[/url

] another motion in parliament in support of the Rockstar employees. British media believe the scandal may escalate further at the UK government level.
