I don't know what "the original mod" we are talking about, but the old 'HD Version' is available on this site with the name of "GTA III HD Version Beta"
After half a year, finally, someone was able to play the assembly and leave a review! Very grateful! Finally, thank you for the radio! He invested in it, one might say, his whole soul, his whole life! Let's get to the explanation. The frame drop is mostly caused by the high draw distance for the skybox to work. Although it [skybox] works crookedly, but without it, 70% (or even all) of the atmosphere of the assembly is lost. And so, from a high range, the added grass will also eat up more FPS, since it is not procedurally generated (there was no such function until GTA SA). Here is such a “vicious circle” that can be broken, but at the same time, something significant can be lost. By cons. Everything is well reasoned, and I myself, as the author, agree with everything, but I can’t do anything with some of them. The drivers of the car did not change the logic of behavior in any way. That is, as they were at the level of GTA 3, they remained so: I don't know about boats. It seemed to be the case in the original. I think it's the wave physics in the game, but I'll look again for the next update. But I certainly agree with the darkness, the biggest cant of this modification. I will try to fix it in the next versions. When I initially tested it, there was only one way out - to abandon the ENB color filter, which would completely kill the atmosphere. Unfortunately, in timecyc or somewhere else, I could not find the brightness parameter at night (or something similar). And, by the way, GTA 3 HD Version itself also suffered from a problem with darkness. Only there (albeit often crooked) Bloom saved the situation a little. Once again, thanks for the comment!
Amazing mod! Everyone can find fault with the playlist forever, for example, I see the station more as a mix of Funk, Soul and R&B classics. It was possible to improve the mastering and mixing of the station in small things, but these are nit-picking. What surprised me the most was the authentic voice of Tina Jane, probably made using a neural network (as it is almost impossible to find the DJs of the classic GTA and LCS/VCS trilogy). It would be interesting to know exactly how it turned out to achieve such a realistic result, as this is really a breakthrough for the same guys who love the Grand Theft Auto series and music. Thanks for the mod!
Probably, already in 2023 it is not surprising, but my mod refused to start. Crashes when loading a new game. Tried with fixes and just on a clean game.
Not really in this case. When the car hits the water, it does not "feel" the water and continues to fall further, and so on until the moment when it is back on the roads of Liberty City again. In the original, the car falls into the water, the player loses health, which leads to getting into the hospital. You have to see it with your own eyes (I'm talking about the water bug, not getting to the hospital XD).
The modification has a bug - cars do not sink in water. At least there is no such problem with the original handling.cfg. If possible, please correct. But thanks for the mod, nice setup.
Not exactly my style, but the list of songs and changes on the radio is not bad. Will there be details about where the songs were taken from and what method they edited? Thanks for the mod. UPD: But still, the innovation with radio stations of the XBOX version was a controversial decision. Even with PC they sound better. Also, where did you get the "Join The Military" ad and the phrase for the song "Wash Him Off" from?
Installed correctly (I hope; sfx.raw is original), but as soon as the game is loaded, glitches with sound occur. As I understand it, this is caused by the absence of the SFX.RAW file, since SFX.SDT, it seems, contains only information about audio files. Please correct this problem, or explain the reason (if the misunderstanding has passed on my side).
Thanks! I will try for these 2 years to make VC's : Wave 103, Flash FM, Emotion 98.3/ SA's : Radio X (and maybe not, but i'll try to do Los Santos Rock Radio)
First, I want to say that "Nevon" and "Nikita Trofimov" are the same people (just the first one - is my nickname). Initially, I didn't think about doing Los Santos Rock Radio, since the game files already contain songs in good quality (48 Khz, 1536 Kbps, 16 Bit), from vinyl. But if I find out that people are waiting for my next "Vinyl Remastered Edition", then of course I will try for them.
I agree, editing gta3.img just like that is not recommended. But if you put some projects that weigh a lot, then it’s better to move it to gta3.img (or, as it was written above, create a separate IMG. In the case of SA, you also need to remove the replaced files from gta3.img in order to read from new)
This is not a Wave at 1411 kbps. They just changed the mp3 extension to wav. If you're here to download "improved" stations, no way! It's better to rip the PS2 and manually remove the clicks. I compared it with my PS2 rip at 32 Khz, 1024 kbps, and even by ear in ordinary headphones it is felt that the quality is clearly better on PS2 (or the author deceived us and left the quality with the PC). As a result, there is no quality, but thanks for the station icons.
Understand developers and others! Licensing absolutely ALL songs is very difficult. You must first determine the price that will be paid for the track (yes, they have a lot of money, but it’s also such a thing to fork out on a soundtrack alone), then write a letter to the label (or someone else), then try again so that the artist does not wrote on social networks: "My track will be in GTA!" (as was the case with Tyler The Creator and Chief Keef). Some songs that were added to the Next Gen version of GTA V were originally supposed to play in the original (perhaps the label did not have time to respond). Therefore, everything is not as simple as it seemed.
Finally, thank you for the radio! He invested in it, one might say, his whole soul, his whole life!

and you try to delve into the file SOUNDS.DAT15
I know it's too late
I have 10-18 FPS
I need at least 25-35
