Ferrari's 4.2-liter V8 engine develops 298 kW of power. The weight/power ratio of the GranTurismo is 4.6 kg/hp. The car is equipped with a 6-speed ZF automatic transmission. The long wheelbase and short overhangs provide fairly roomy interior space for four people. The platform for GranTurismo was borrowed from Quattroporte with minor changes. In particular, the wheelbase was reduced by 125 mm, the rear overhang became a little shorter, and the two-door body itself became 30% stiffer. The power unit was shifted back due to which the weight distribution along the axes turned out to be almost perfect - 49:51. A self-locking differential saves from possible slipping: during acceleration it is blocked by 25%, and during engine braking - by 45%, which prevents early skidding when releasing gas in a turn. Since the summer of 2008, Maserati has also launched the S version of the GranTurismo. The convertible version went on sale in 2009. -HD dirt -High quality door sills -High quality model -Glasses break [YCA Modder Group]
